A superb proof printed with great clarity by the artist on fine laid paper. Signed and dated in pencil beneath the image, titled and dated 1977 in the lower margin.
This plate was ultimately issued in K.M. Guichard's British Etchers 1850-1940, published by Robin Garton in 1977. Impressions tend to be muddy and seldom reveal the artist's intentions.
