Signed by the artist in pencil. A superb proof printed by Tanner in preparation for a new illustrated edition of Gray's Elegy written in a Country Churchyard, published by Robin Garton in 1981. One of a very small number of impressions inscribed with the verse to which the etching relates and given by the artist to those involved with the venture.
