An unrecorded example of this exceedingly rare plate - one of only five known impressions. A fine tonal impression printed in black ink on wove paper. Signed, dated 1919 and titled by the artist in ink, inscribed, To W.H. Davies. The sheet with minor foxing and a little discolouration where previously exposed to light, otherwise in very good condition.
The recipient of this etching was the Welsh tramp poet and writer, William Henry Davies, 1871-1940.
