A beautifully-printed proof on thick wove paper, the first of two almost identical engravings of this subject. Extremely rare - there was no edition although the block was later used to illustrate Wood-Engravings, published by the St. Dominic’s Press, Ditchling in 1924.
A careful examination of this proof reveals a small mistake in the engraving, possibly the reason for the existence of the second block [P.201].
