A superb proof printed on thick Japan paper, the design based on a photograph published in the Daily Mirror. Signed by the artist in pencil. Extremely rare - there was no edition although the block was later used to illustrate Wood-Engravings, published by the St. Dominic’s Press, Ditchling in 1924.
